There are moments in business when you find yourself at a crossroads. That’s where I was with Declarations by BTA. What was next? Was this still the path God wanted me to walk? Then, in ways only He can orchestrate, God began to speak clearly.
First, through a woman I had never met who reposted our work and then persistently encouraged me to move forward with sharing our message and designs more boldly. Then, God provided the funds needed to step into this next opportunity as a vendor. Finally, He confirmed again that this assignment—spreading the message through Declarations—was where He wanted me.
So, I moved in obedience and stepped into The Gathering: An Urban Gospel Experience in Laurel, Maryland. What unfolded that night was nothing short of divine.
Beyond Selling, It Was Assignment
From the moment doors opened, I knew this was about more than shirts and hoodies. Every person who stopped at our table was a reminder of God’s promise and a whisper to my soul that this is where I need you.
There was the 12-year-old girl who wanted a shirt so badly that she was willing to take one, even when we didn’t have her size left. She wasn’t focused on fit; she wanted the message.
There was the woman who connected with our Warfare hoodie, sharing her own season of struggle. I was able to tell her the story behind the design, reminding both of us that our testimonies are living proof of God’s restoring power.
Then, there was a young man who kept coming back to the table—not just once, but several times. He bought nearly every design we had, not only for himself but for his friends and loved ones, because the message behind each piece spoke to him so deeply. To see someone moved in that way was confirmation that this work is planting seeds far beyond what I could imagine.
And of course, our Worshipper hoodie became the centerpiece of the night. It was the item everyone wanted, and before we knew it, we were completely sold out. Watching people light up as they grabbed theirs was a reminder that God has a way of putting His fingerprint on every design.
Marked by the Encounter
Each interaction left me in awe. Each story confirmed the weight of this calling. This wasn’t just vending, it was ministry. It was a moment where obedience met assignment, and I walked away blessed beyond understanding.
What began as uncertainty ended as clarity: Declarations by BTA isn’t just about clothing, it’s about carrying a message that resonates, restores, and reminds people of who God is.
I’ll forever carry the faces, the stories, and the encounters from that night. Because this is more than a brand—it’s obedience in action, it’s faith stitched into fabric, it’s declarations that live beyond the aisle.
